Senior Level 2 Support Engineer

We are developing an IoT platform and providing customer support. Therefore, we are now looking for a Senior Level 2 Support Engineer to join us on our journey towards technical excellence! What we always carry with us on this journey is a set of skills, dedicated minds and creative thinking!

With clients on our minds, our mission is to act as problem-solvers who can diagnose and troubleshoot all the problems faced with while constantly improving our IoT solution!

Enough about us, now let’s talk a bit about you!

Your responsibilities would include the following

  • Handling complex support requests from our clients related to t-matix IoT applications
  • Advising the customer in case of highly escalated problems
  • Reproducing problems for symptom collection
  • Training delivery to internal and external audiences
  • Assistance in company projects that include building solutions for customers, where knowledge of our platform and system is needed
  • Processing 2nd level tickets in the ticketing system
  • Providing regular reports for management (weekly, monthly)
  • Documenting solved cases in the knowledge database
  • Being part of a 24/7 on-call duty rotation wheel, depending on the contracts with clients

Our ideal candidate would have the following skills

  • High troubleshooting skills, logical/mathematical intelligence
  • Designing and implementing complex temporary solutions and workarounds
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in IT or Telecom industry with strong knowledge of the infrastructure layer (Linux, databases, networking, virtualization…)
  • Autonomous in daily work, with minimal guidance by the manager
    Undertaking small to medium-sized projects
  • Enhancing product/solution and its documentation in cooperation with other departments
  • Pushing contributors to produce and publish learning content
  • Fluent in the English language, both verbal and written – the German language is a plus
  • Knowledge of JIRA or a similar ticketing system
  • Experience in, or at least the curiosity, to learn more about the Internet of Things – IoT
  • Willingness to understand different industries such as Construction and/or Manufacturing Business, Hardware Sensors (know-how), Smart City, Industry 4.0 or similar
