IoT Hardware Support Engineer

We are developing an IoT platform and looking for an IoT Hardware Support Engineer to join us on the journey to further improve it!

Your responsibilities would include the following

  • Handling support requests from our clients related to t-matix IoT applications and telematic units
  • Reproducing problems for symptom collection
  • Prototyping and testing of different TCU configurations for better interoperability with t-matix IoT platform
  • Onboarding of IoT end devices, device maintenance and update (firmware, configurations)
  • Assistance in company projects that include building solutions for customers, where knowledge of our platform and telematics units is needed
  • Processing support tickets in the ticketing system
  • Providing regular reports for management (weekly, monthly)
  • Documenting solved cases in the knowledge database
  • Being part of a 24/7 on-call duty rotation wheel, depending on the contracts with clients

Our ideal candidate would have the following skills

  • Knowledge and willingness to understand different industries such as construction and/or manufacturing Business, Hardware Sensors (know-how), Smart City, Industry 4.0 or similar
  • Experience in, or at least the curiosity, to learn more about the Internet of Things – IoT, end devices such as sensors, tracking devices and telematic control units
  • High troubleshooting skills, logical/mathematical intelligence
  • Designing and implementing temporary solutions and workarounds
  • Autonomous in daily work, with minimal guidance by the manager
  • Undertaking small to medium-sized projects
  • Enhancing product/solution and its documentation in cooperation with other departments
  • Fluent in English language, both verbal and written – German language is a plus
